Claymates

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before your pottery date night.

Do I need any pottery experience?

Not at all! Our pottery date nights are designed for beginners. Our instructors guide you step-by-step. It’s about having fun together—no prior skills required.

How long is a session?

Each session runs about 2 hours. Plenty of time to learn the basics, create your pieces, and enjoy the experience without feeling rushed.

What should we wear?

Wear comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting a little dirty. We provide aprons. Rolled-up sleeves and closed-toe shoes help.

Can we take our pieces home the same day?

Yes. Unfired clay isn’t food-safe or waterproof. You can also leave pieces for firing + glazing (premium finish), starting at $5 per item.

What’s included?

Clay, wheel time, tools, aprons, and instruction—everything you need. Just bring yourselves.

Can we book for a group?

Yes—double dates and small celebrations work great. For larger groups, book multiple spots or contact the studio for a private option.
